July 12, 2010 Well LeMars fans, it looks like the August 28th show is back on at The Olsen Events Center. The show at The Chesterfield got pushed back so we're back on. We hope to get the bands lined up by the end of the week. Check out the flyer below for the show in Sioux Falls on July 24.
June 24, 2010 Sioux City, what a helluva welcome back to the scene. The people up front for our return back didn't stop moshing for most of our set and the crowd seemed to take to the new songs. What a great night and great turnout. Can't wait to do more shows with some of the bands on that bill. Biker Nights was another animal. Great crowd, really good response. It was hot as hell going on at 7:15, everyone killed it that night. We had to cancel the LeMars show, we're playing at The Chesterfield instead that night...but more on that later. Next month we're heading to Sioux Falls, SD so help us feel welcome. Time to finish up the album and work in a couple more new songs to the set. We'll get another song for you to listen to before the album drops.
June 10, 2010 Check out this article that was posted on Siouxland.net and in The Weekender about this weekends show. It's avail to read on our Media page too. We're ready to tear off your faces on these upcoming shows.
June 3, 2010 Practice has be going pretty damn good. We have some new songs ready to unleash on you. Going to hit it hard this next week to tighten it up a bit. Looks like Dead Mans Hand is getting back together for one gig this summer, which is our 1st gig back. This is not to be missed. We've have a couple of different album titles we're thinking about going with, and a new cover concept. We should have a rough mix of a song up by the end of the weekend, we'll be making the decision on which song in the next couple of days. It's also looking like it will be a late summer release. Get ready for our brutal metal assault to unleash once again. Here's the flyer for the June 12th show:
May 4, 2010 We're playing a show at The Chesterfield on June 12th, the Saturday before Biker nights. We're not sure who's all playing yet, but Thick Mistress is on the bill. We're also cooking up a LeMars show at the Olsen Events Center for Sat, Aug 28. More on that in the next couple months. Speaking of Biker Nights, we have a list of bands we'll be playing with: Hemlock, Bloodcow, The Lifeless Design, and Thick Mistress. Check out the flyer below:
April 20, 2010 Summer is coming up around the corner, and Threatenol will be out playing again. We've got some gigs cooking up for y'all to check out. The album is nearing completion. The drums are tracked and finished, guitars and bass are almost done. Luke has a couple more vocal tracks and he'll be finished. Then it's on to mixing and mastering. We are realistically looking at a summer release, look for a CD release show around that time. On the live front we have a few gigs lined up. We'll be playing at Awesome Biker Nights in Sioux City on Friday, June 18th. We'll be playing the East Stage with a few other bands, this happens between 5:30-10. We won't know when we play until the day of the show. We're not ready to announce any other dates just yet, but we'll let you know soon. We're back in the practice room gearing up for another summer of brutality. Hope to see you in the pit.
December 14, 2009 Well, it's been a few months with nothing but silence. We're making great progress on the album, we stalled a bit during the summer but we are back on track. We have a bunch of rough mixes and it's coming together great. We can see the end in sight finally, and we hope it's worth the wait. We've been working on some of the songs in the studio and that's been taking up some of our time. After the holidays are over we will have some new music for you to hear. You've heard that from us before, we know. We'll try to be better at keeping you in the loop. All the drum tracks are done except for 1 song, and most of the rhythm guitars and bass have been tracked. We have about 4 songs of vocals left to track. The leads need to be finished, but the scratch sounds killer. Lukes cover art concept has gone through a few different looks, and it's shaping up to be sick as hell. The final album will contain 13 tracks. We did a photo shoot on Sept 19th check out a pic below © of Tom Woll Photography.
August 22, 2009 What's up, been awhile since we've let you know what the hell is going on. We're still working on the album, the recording process is going a bit slower then we hoped but it's sounding heavy as hell. We've got 13 tracks we're recording for it, we'll see if it all makes it to the final product or what happens to them. We're planning on doing a photoshoot in the next few weeks, so you'll get to see some new shots and we'll have something for the CD. We'll upload some shit here and on our Myspace page. We hope to relaunch threatenol.com around the time the CD drops. When the hell are you playing live again?" We've been getting this question a lot, and if we knew for sure you'd see it here. We've had a few offers, but we told ourselves we were gonna hold off until this shit is recorded...we want to play out, but we want to be ready and focused...look for us and new music this fall you metal fux. Here's a shot from July 19, 09.
March 6, 2009 So much for providing updates, but we actually have some news now. We've started tracking the drums for the album, so it's finally starting to take shape! We aren't exactly sure what will or won't be on it, but it will be some brutal shit for sure. We will continue to update you with the albums progress and some pictures from the studio. Here's a picture of Loren laying down a drum track from March 2:
